TEST OF PROTEINS IN A FOOD ITEM

Hi everyone. I am here with a simple expirement to test the presence of proteins. Let us see how to test the presence of proteins

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Test tube,caustic soda solution,copper sulphate solution and milk

PROCEDURE: Take some milk and pour it in a test tube. Add about ten drops of caustic soda solution
             Then add two drops of copper sulphate solution. Shake well. A mauve colour appears.
                         This shows that milk contains proteins.
